Last month, we shared a report about a Georgia couple suing a doctor for allegedly decapitating their baby during delivery. Now, the couple is alleging that another doctor posted images of the dead infant online.
As we previously reported, on Wednesday (August 9), Dr. Tracey St. Julian was named in a lawsuit by Jessica Ross, 20, and her 21-year-old boyfriend Treveon Isaiah Taylor Sr., the parents of the deceased baby. They accused the doctor of decapitating their newborn during delivery on July 9.
In the heartbreaking lawsuit, the parents alleged that the doctor and the staff at Southern Regional Medical Center used excessive force and delayed surgical intervention, resulting in this unimaginable tragedy.

According to the complaint, Ross was in labor when the baby’s shoulders got stuck in the vaginal canal. In a desperate attempt to deliver the baby, the doctor allegedly applied excessive force on the baby’s head and neck, resulting in the horrific decapitation.
It was also alleged that the parents had requested a C-section prior to the incident but were denied, potentially indicating a failure to provide appropriate care and consideration for their concerns. The legal suit not only accused the doctor of gross negligence but also included claims of fraud and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Additionally, the Georgia couple claimed that the hospital attempted to cover up the incident, and in the aftermath of their child’s unexpected and tragic death, they are now seeking justice and an unspecified amount of punitive damages.
Following news of the lawsuit, Southern Regional Medical Center denied all allegations, further claiming the doctor was not an employee of the hospital. Their statement read:
“Due to patient privacy laws and HIPAA, we are unable to discuss the care and treatment of specific patients. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the family and all those impacted by this tragic event. Our prayers also remain with the dedicated team of physicians, nurses, and staff at Southern Regional Medical Center who cared for this patient. While our sympathies go out to the family, Southern Regional Medical Center denies the allegations in the Complaint referencing the hospital. Since this matter is in litigation, we cannot provide additional statements. As far as Dr. St. Julian, she is not an employee of the hospital. The hospital has taken the appropriate steps in response to this unfortunate situation.“
Since last month’s reports, it is now being alleged by the Georgia couple that a second doctor has violated their trust. The young Clayton County couple are now suing a second doctor, accusing him of posting the autopsy pictures on social media.
The couple now claims that things have gone from bad to worse as they claim Dr. Jackson Gates, an independent pathologist whom they paid $2,500 to perform an autopsy on their baby, posted a full-face picture and videos of the baby’s organs on Instagram, claiming it was for “educational purposes.”
The family’s attorney helping them sue the second doctor who posted images of their dead infant, Rod Edmond, said, “This is diabolical. There is something wrong. After all of the abuse suffered by this young couple, unfortunately, Dr. Gates continued to perpetuate it, their abuse, by posting both photos and videos of their decapitated child on social media, namely Instagram.”
A second attorney, Cory Lynch added, “Dr. Gates consciously waived his duty to this young couple. He traded his duty to them in exchange for likes and followers on Instagram.“
In his own defense video on Instagram, the doctor accused of posting images of the dead infant said, “I want you to hear this clearly, I will never divulge the identity or disclose the identity of any live patients or any deceased patients that come for my care.”
While both lawsuits are pending, the couple is currently undergoing trauma counseling.
