Gayle King has shared her thoughts again on Megan Thee Stallion’s recent confession that she wasn’t truthful about not intimate with Tory Lanez.
Gayle spoke with TMZ on Tuesday, and she informed the news publication that Megan’s lie during her 2022 “CBS Mornings” interview regarding the July 2020 shooting is something the star must take responsibility for. However, Gayle holds no grudges and continues to wholeheartedly support her.
“It was the first time that she was telling her story and it bothered me that so many people didn’t believe her story. That bothered me, so I wanted to get it from her first hand. Why she said what she said to me is really on her but listen I still am nuts about her I think she’s been through a lot and I can’t wait to see her documentary,” Gayle shared.
As we previously shared, the female rapper revealed in the documentary that she lied during her 2022 interview with Gayle King where she told the world that she never had sex with Tory Lanez. However, in her new Amazon Prime documentary “Megan Thee Stallion: “In Her Words,” she admitted that she lied during that interview and stated that she and Tory had sex only once or twice over some drunken nights.
After the clip from her documentary made several rounds on social media many people began to weigh in on the topic, including Tory Lanez’s legal team.

Ceasar McDowell, who is the CEO of Unite the People, the nonprofit law firm that is currently representing Tory Lanez released a statement about Megan’s comments.
“The fact that Megan lied about her sexual relationship with Tory obviously makes her an unreliable witness. If someone lies in front of millions of people, how can you trust what they say any other time?” The news outlet also reported that Lanez is seeking to appeal his sentence and his appeal “includes previous false statements made by Megan.”
In April 2022, the 29-year-old rapper known for “Hot Girl Summer” had an interview with King, 69, on “CBS Mornings.” During their conversation, they discussed the shooting incident as well as the nature of her relationship with the 32-year-old Canadian rapper, exploring whether they were just friends or something more.
“What was the nature of your relationship with Tory Lanez because he has led people to believe that it was a sexual relationship … that you two were dating? What was the nature?” Gayle asked Megan.
“We were not dating. We were really close, we were friends. We hung out, like, every day,” Megan responded.
Megan expressed that she and Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Shemuel Shua Peterson, felt a sense of connection because they had both experienced the loss of their mothers.
“Did you have an intimate relationship with him?” King asked again, to which the Houston rapper responded, “Like sexual? Umm, I didn’t have a sexual relationship with Tory.”
