According to Entertainment Weekly, the 27-year-old actor will be joining the upcoming BBC comedy series Out Of Her Mind from British comic Sara Pascoe. It was said that the show, “subverts the traditional sitcom format by combining eccentric characters, animation, and scientific explanation” the press release from the network stated.
While Gleeson became very popular from GOT, in 2014, he told EW that he needed to take a break from the acting world while admitting that all the attention was a little too much for him too handle.
“I’ve been acting since age 8. I just stopped enjoying it as much as I used to,” said the media-shy performer. “When you make a living from something, it changes your relationship with it. It’s not like I hate it, it’s just not what I want to do.” Now, it was noted that Gleeson’s last film role came in 2010, and since departing Game Of Thrones, Gleeson hasn’t appeared on TV. However, he didn’t leave entertainment completely; back in 2016, he brought his puppet show, Bears in Space, to the U.S.
As of right now, no premiere date has been announced for Out of Mind. Though it was said that he will costar with Juliet Stevenson, Cariad Lloyd, rapper Scroobius Pip, and more, EW reports.
