Gabrielle Union Settles With NBC Over ‘America’s Got Talent’ Discrimination Claims
NBC and Gabrielle Union have come to a resolution after the star spoke out about racism and discrimination in the workplace following her ousting on ‘America’s Got Talent.’
Ten months ago Union made the complaint after being let go as a judge on the talent show.
“We’ve reached an amicable resolution,” an NBC rep told Page Six. “NBC Entertainment appreciates the important concerns raised by Gabrielle Union and remains committed to ensuring an inclusive and supportive working environment where people of all backgrounds can be treated with respect.”

Per reports, Union is reported to have received significant compensation.
Union had reportedly been told by AGT staffers that her hairstyles were “too black” for the show’s audience. In addition to that, Union also voiced concern over more than one insensitive performance and expressed discomfort over EP Simon Cowell‘s frequent smoking, which made her feel sick while she was on the job.
NBC announced the investigation was complete in May,
“Through the investigation process, it has been revealed that no one associated with the show made any insensitive or derogatory remarks about Ms. Union’s appearance, and that neither race nor gender was a contributing factor in the advancement or elimination of contestants at any time,” the network said in a statement. “The investigation has shown that the concerns raised by Ms. Union had no bearing on the decision not to exercise the option on her contract.”
