The charges were filed at a federal court in Springfield, Massachusetts where it claimed G Herbo, real name Herbery Wright III, made a false statement to a federal agent. Documentation states he lied to the agent back in November 2018 about his connection to Chicago-based rap promoter Antonio Strong. Strong is reportedly in charge of helping the rapper obtain luxury resources which include vacations, exotic car rents, and other amenities.

Additionally, it states that Strong and G Herbo remained in contact with each other via text message, Instagram direct messages, and phone conversations as reported by the Chicago Tribune.
