As we previously reported, nearly a dozen people were injured last night in a shooting outside a Miami Gardens restaurant.
The shooting went down as rapper French Montana was filming a music video in the parking lot of the Florida restaurant. Six people were taken to area hospitals, four of those were taken by air rescue to the Ryder Trauma Center. Another four reportedly drove themselves or had someone drive them to the hospital. So far there have been no arrests in the shooting. Miami Gardens police confirm there are no fatalities.
However, French is now speaking out on the wild incident. I’m a tweet posted to his official Twitter account, the rapper said, “Last night, I was in Miami celebrating the release of my CB6 mixtape w/ friends at a local restaurant. We unfortunately were at the wrong place, at the wrong time when an incident took place that left people hurt. Our thoughts & prayers are w/ the victims & families at this time.”

More On What Happened
Miami Gardens police confirmed with CBS Miami News that rapper Rob 4-9 was also hit. “One of the main rappers, Rob49, he jumped into a car and they took him to the hospital right away,” witness Wilmark Baez said.
While speaking with WSVN, another witness, Ced Mogul, said he came out to watch French Montana shoot the music. However, at some point, someone in the crowd got robbed of his watch, keys and wallet.
“[He asked to] call his mother and see if we can get spare car keys and make sure, you know, he’s OK, and then the gunshots went off,” said Mogul, “at least 13, 14, 15 gunshots. It was very rapid, it sounded like an assault rifle.”
Police have not specified whether someone shot into the crowd or whether there was an exchange of gunfire.”
He went on to say,
“I took off running, and I was looking back, but I was like, ‘You know what? Let me just duck first, and then people started asking me, you know, ‘Can you help me?’” said, Mogul. “When I realized people were asking for help, there was nothing you could do about it when you got shot.”
As of Friday, federal agents from ATF and the US Marshal’s Office were on the scene with K-9 units sniffing around the parking lot.
