Well, French Montana has to cough up some money to pay a man after losing a lawsuit.

According to TMZ, a California jury awarded his pool guy a bunch of money after he was left with injuries by French’s dog. French’s German Shepherd, Zane, was the culprit in the attack against Juan Lomeli; the man who sued him way back in 2018. At the time, Lomeli alleged French’s pet lost it on him while he was doing his job. He claimed the dog lunged at him and sank its teeth right into his arm, causing a nasty and painful injury.

Lomeli testified that he lost a lot of money due to his injuries. He said it was severe enough for him to miss a substantial amount of time working. After battling out the suit for years, a jury finally weighed in — awarding Lomeli a whopping $129,500 in damages.

As TMZ notes, the judgment breaks down to: “$39,500 in past economic loss, $60k in non-economic loss (pain/suffering, etc.), and another $30k for future non-economic loss.”

French Montana has not yet responded to this latest L.

Now, the rapper isn’t the only celebrity who’s dealing with a dog bite lawsuit. A former housekeeper of Chris Brown is suing the singer for a reported $50 million in damages for injuries she claims her sister suffered when Brown’s dog attacked her at his house. However, Chris Brown hit back saying his housekeeper who claims one of his dogs “viciously” mauled her sibling at his Los Angeles home has no standing to sue because “she only heard the dog barking and her sister screaming” – she didn’t actually witness the alleged attack.

Another celebrity, Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott, was also named in a $1 million lawsuit by a plaintiff for an alleged attack by his dogs. It was the third such lawsuit against the Cowboys star. In response to the suit, Ezekiel Elliott’s attorney Frank Salzano said at the time:

“Mr. Elliott and his representatives are aware of the lawsuit filed on July 30th, which stems from a previously reported incident from May 21st of this year. As Mr. Elliott expressed at that time, he was — and remains concerned — for the party involved. . . . However, as in most disputes, there are extenuating circumstances to this matter which will impact the legal proceedings which we are not at liberty to disclose. As such, we have no further comment at this time.”

Prior to that 2021 incident, on March 25, 2021, an employee of Bliss Pet Resort in Prosper, Texas was allegedly attacked by his Rottweiler when he tried to take the three dogs out. The complaint said the dog allegedly caught hold of the victim’s right arm and threw him to the ground. On March 11, 2020, a woman, who filed a lawsuit, claimed that she had been attacked by all three of his dogs while on duty to clean his pool.
