French Doctor Apologizes For Suggesting Coronavirus Treatment Testing In Africa
Last week, French doctor, Dr. Jean-Paul Mira, suggested that testing for coronavirus treatment should begin in Africa; and now, he’s apologizing.
Initially, the doctor proposed, “If I could be provocative, should we not do this study in Africa where there are no masks, treatment or intensive care. We try things because we know that they are highly exposed and they don’t protect themselves.”

Subsequent to mountainous backlash, Mira apologized, “I want to present all my apologies to those who were hurt, shocked and felt insulted by the remarks that I clumsily expressed on LCI this week.”
Earlier in his initial interview, Mira shared his skepticism about the tuberculosis vaccine, and it being a possible treatment in Europe and Australia. He claimed that extensive access to protective equipment would skew results.
Currently, Africa has reported the lowest amount of confirmed COVID-19 cases, with less than 10,000 — the fewest across all six inhabitable continents.
