Fox Nation’s Tomi Lahren Compares Stay-at-Home Orders to ‘Willful Slavery’ in Deleted Tweet

Fox Nation’s Tomi Lahren is making headlines again over her outrageous comments. This time she compared stay-at-home orders amid the coronavirus pandemic to “willful slavery” in a since-deleted post on social media.

Early Monday morning, Lahren took to Twitter to vent about how she’s had enough with social distancing and does not want to wait until the virus is killed to reopen America: “The point was to flatten the curve, not eradicate the virus. It may take a year or more to kill the virus but the economy and livelihoods of millions are about to be destroyed entirely. Enough. ‪#ReopenAmerica,” she tweeted. In the afternoon, she followed up another tweet that read: ‬“Compliance starting to look a whole lot like willful slavery. #ReopenAmerica.”

Although the tweet was quickly scrubbed, many social media users caught wind of her post and let her have it. One Twitter wrote to the 27-year-old: “This is so offensive. Not because it’s politically incorrect, but because it’s politically incoherent, dangerous, and straight-up stupid.” Another commented over her post, “Who knew all the slaves were sitting at home on IG while all that cotton picked itself.”

As many of us know, Lahren has been an outspoken critic of shelter-in-place orders and the impact the coronavirus has had on the U.S. economy. She’s also been celebrating those who have taken to the streets to protest against the protective measures set by health and state officials.

While some people are not that shocked over he latest remakes, many people strongly believe she crossed the line with this one.
