Former Virginia Police Officer Pleads Guilty In Capitol Riot Case & Will Testify Against Second Officer
Former Virginia police officer Jacob Fracker, 30, pleads guilty in his U.S. Capitol riot case, and will also testify against a second officer involved in the January 6 storm.
The former Rocky Mount, VA officer, who was fired after his arrest, has since pleaded guilty to conspiring to obstruct an official proceeding — that being Congress’ joint session to certify President Joe Biden’s electoral victory. Fracker will be tried next month and is facing up to 15 to 21 months in prison, as well as a fine between $7,500 and $75,000.

Additionally, Fracker has agreed to cooperate with federal prosecutors and will testify against a second officer who participated in the insurrection on Jan. 6. Reportedly, Fracker’s co-defendant Thomas Robertson bought gas masks and other tactical gear ahead of the riot, and also stormed past police to enter the Senate Wing door day-of. It’s also reported that Robertson got himself into additional trouble since the Jan 6. incident. After both men were granted pretrial release last summer, Robertson went and got himself locked up again in July after he bought 37 firearms while still under federal indictment.
