Former Temptations Lead Singer Bruce Williamson Dies From COVID-19

The ‘Temptations’ former lead singer Bruce Williamson has sadly passed away from complications due to the Coronavirus.

Per TMZ Williamson died on Sunday night at his Las Vegas home after battling COVID-19. He was just 49.

“There’s no words in the world that can express how I feel right now,” wrote his son on Facebook. “I love you Daddy thank you for being awesome thank you for being loving thank you for being Who You Are I pray to God and we will meet again,”I love you Daddy R.I.H KING WILLIAMSON.”

Williamson became part of The Temptations in 2006 until 2015. He sang solo soul music after his departure and had a performance scheduled for Sept. 12. He was from Compton, California and started his singing journey with gospel in Church.

“I never lost the dream of wanting to be a Temptation,” he said in an interview with Chapter & Verse Network back in 2016. “But I didn’t want to be an imitation or one who impersonates my predecessors. I wanted to be myself.”

RIP. He will be missed.
