Former NFL QB Colt Brennan Dead After Being Found Unconscious and At Rehab Facility

Former NFL quarterback Colt Brennen was found unconscious  at a rehab facility, and later died at the hospital.

His father, Terry Brennan, confirmed the news to the Star Advertiser. He was just 37-years-old.

Brennan was spending his fifth month at a rehabilitation facility in California when he was found unconscious. He later died Monday at a hospital in Newport Beach, California.

“He was doing so well, the spark was back in his eyes, and he was healthy and doing great, and it happened,” Terry Brennan said.

As of now the cause of death has not been revealed.

“He had been doing really (well),” Brennan said. “These guys were no-nonsense guys. It just got away from him. I don’t know how else to explain it. Maybe one day I’ll be able to explain it.”

Brennan revealed that his son was surrounded by family members when he passed away.

“He went peacefully,” Terry Brennan said. “He listened to Bob Marley. His sisters had a lei around him when he was unconscious. They had the music of Bob Marley playing near his ear.”

Colt made many records during his football career. Injuries from a car accident halted his NFL career.
