It’s reported that the 6-foot-7, 310-pound footballer will remain free pending a February 11 hearing; however, he has been ordered to wear a GPS-equipped ankle monitor and remain confined to his home and away from the victim. After his arrest last week, Wheeler took to Twitter to announce him stepping away from the game. He wrote, “It is time for me to walk away from football and get the help I need to never again pose a threat to another. I cannot express my sorrow or remorse enough. I am truly ashamed.”
