A woman is accusing former NBA star Iman Shumpert of “dragging her by the wrist and foot” after repeatedly demanding she leave his home. After police fail to file charges in the incident, the woman threatens legal action, aka a lawsuit.

According to TMZ Sports, police in Atlanta, Georgia responded to a call for a verbal altercation at Shumpert’s home last week. During the November 26 incident, a woman alleged the former NBA star hit her. However, a witness told police that was all cap.
In the incident report, obtained by TMZ Sports, the police stated that operators dispatched them to Shumpert’s Atlanta home around 4:37 AM. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the former NBA baller moving a suitcase outside his home. He continued to tell police that he wanted the woman, identified as Joanna Donnejour, out of his place. He said he asked her to bounce several times to no avail.

Woman Accuses Iman Shumpert Of Assault After He Repeatedly Requested She Leave His Home
While speaking with Donnejour, officers learned that the two had an argument inside Shumpert’s room. It apparently stemmed from him speaking with another woman. Police added that while they were arguing about a second woman, there was a whole third female present. During the verbal dispute, Donnejour alleges Shumpert forcefully removed her from his room by “dragging her by her wrist and foot toward the stairs.”
Donnejour told police that before their arrival, she ordered a ride to voluntarily remove her from Shumpert’s property. After alleging Shumpert put hands on her and “hit her,” Donnejour told police she wanted to press charges. However, after police spoke with that third woman at the scene, they opted against filing any charges.
Reportedly, the female witness told them a verbal dispute did in fact happen, however, it was after Shumpert asked Donnejour to leave his room twice. The witness said he “grabbed Ms. Donnejour by the wrist to escort her out but this was not done in an aggressive manner.” Police remained at the scene until Donnejour left the premises.
In addition to the witness’ statement, police reported there were no visible injuries, markings, or bruisings discovered on Donnejour’s body. Ultimately, due to the lack of supporting evidence, officers did not file any charges.

Woman Threatens Legal Action After Accusing Iman Shumpert Of Assaulting Her, He Combats Claims
Furthermore, int he police bodycam footage obtained by TMZ Sports, viewers can hear Donnejour tell Shumpert, “see you in court — and on Instagram in the morning.” In a statement shared to TMZ Sports, the former NBA baller said:
“Last week, I had friends over and a visitor at my residence was politely asked to leave several times after I witnessed her damaging personal property. The police were called, invited inside and they spoke with multiple people who saw what happened. After assessing the situation, the police instructed her to leave repeatedly. She refused to vacate the property after being asked to leave multiple times and only after the officers escorted her outside did she eventually depart. This matter was quickly closed that night by the police after they did their investigation.”
