Beadle worked for the company on two separate occasions in 2009 and 2019. Recently, she launched a podcast for The Athletic called “What Did I Miss?” and invited her former colleague, Paul Pierce to speak on the second episode. In the episode, they discussed his termination from ESPN and the rumor that LeBron James tried to get her fired after she criticized him during his “Decision” era. Pierce said, “There was a rumor that LeBron got you fired from ESPN.
In response, Beadle addressed the situation: “He did try to do that. I was like ‘I’m honored that I’m even on your mind. Thank you very much for that, sir. That’s a weird place for me to be. My stuff with him started off not personal. I made fun of The Decision as 400,000 other talking heads did at the time. I think for some reason that was it. It wasn’t personal to begin, but now it will always be personal.”

The Decision was a TV special dedicated to seeing which team the NBA player was going to choose during his time as a free agent. However, Beadle’s commentary allegedly didn’t sit well with him.
“I think that’s what makes us all healthy. It’s the people who pretend they like everyone – you can’t trust them.”
