Florida Woman, Who Pretended To Be Cousin Of 14-Year-Old Boy Who Fell To His Death On Orlando Ride, Has Been Fired From Strip Club

Last week, we shared the tragic news of a 14-year-old boy, Tyre Sampson, who fell to his death at an Orlando, FL amusement park. A woman, who told media outlets her name was Shay Johnson, later went viral as she’d pretended to be the boy’s cousin. Now, Johnson, whose reported real name is Lewishena Lavonia Browning, has been fired from her strip club job.

Speaking with WKMG, Browning, posing as Johnson, gave the following statement, “I had just talked to him a couple hours right before that had happened. It’s hard on us right now.” She also said she created a petition to remove the ride, “It’s not just me and my family that want that ride down. We got over 1500 names just from yesterday.” Continuing, she said, “He really wanted to ride the swing, and they told him that he was too big. Then he said he went to the slingshot, and they told him he was too big for that, but y’all didn’t let him get on those two, but on that one being overweight.” She adds, “He was a football player. All A’s. Never got in no trouble. He was a good boy.”

After going viral, she was immediately called out as a fraud by Sampson’s mother. In addition to having GoFundMes taken down, Browning’s now been fired as a dancer at Flash Dancers adult club in Orlando. As of Thursday (Mar. 31), Owner William Sierer said Browning had worked at his club for five years as an entertainer, and has now fired her after learning of the deception. He called her actions “ruthless” and added, “I feel terrible about it.” #Socialites, thoughts?
