Florida Woman Donates Kidney To Husband’s Ex-Wife 2 Days After Wedding
A newlywed did the ultimate act of kindness by donating her kidney to her husband’s ex-wife.
Debby Neal-Strickland Merthe and Jim Merthe’s 10- year anniversary was Nov. 22, 2020 and the couple was eager to get married on that day despite COVID-19 restrictions.

“I didn’t want any frills; I wanted to keep it simple and it was perfect,” sources from people.com states.
The lovely couple had their beautiful wedding and two days after exchanging vows with Jim, Debby went to check herself into the hospital at Tampa General to start her preparation to donate her kidney to Jim’s ex wife, Mylaen Anderson-Merthe.

“I said, ‘Mylaen’s going to be an awesome grandmother, and this has to be done,'” shared by Debby. “I knew she was worth it, and I knew we had to make it work.”
The procedure was successful and after the procedure Mylaen had some kind words to say, “If Jim and I were meant to be together, Debby would’ve never come along, and I wouldn’t have had a donor,” says Mylaen. “This was all meant to be.”
Mylaen had been suffering from kidney disease for three decades and now she has a clean bill of health.
