During Hurricane Nicole, a twin brother and sister were killed after they came in touch with a downed power wire in Orlando, Florida.

Khalil Sapp, 23, and his sister Kianna were driving through the suburb in Conway on Thursday morning when they came across the line. According to the authorities, Khalil allegedly touched a loose powerline and was electrocuted. Later, his sister tried to help him by jumping out of the car, but she, too, was electrocuted. She was taken to a local hospital but died from her wounds.
Mylah,1, Kianna’s daughter, was in the car but escaped the tragedy uninjured. A witness named Kimberly Neff said first responders took too long to arrive at the scene due to high winds.

As reported by the Daily Mail, Neff said Khalil’s body was still on fire by the time paramedics were able to help him. The family published a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses and a trust fund for Mylah.
“These two siblings with positive attitudes, always willing to help others and always put others needs before theirs.’ Any remaining funds will be put into trust for Mylah.”
After news of their death caused headlines, Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings issued a warning about touching down power lines during dangerous storms.
‘This really is a reminder to use extreme caution when out after a storm. Never touch a downed power line. Always assume that it is a live wire.’
Their deaths were confirmed to be the first due to Hurricane Nicole. Three after people were killed in the aftermath of the storm.
