Florida, Texas & Arizona Hit With Second Wave Of Coronavirus After Reopening

#Socialites your state might gradually be reopening, but it’s still far from safe outside. Nationwide, cities are economically struggling and it has pushed governing officials to open up the U.S, but that could be detrimental in the long run.

In Florida, Texas and Arizona, infection rates have spiked as they’ve been hit with a second wave of COVID-19.

“There is a new wave coming in parts of the country,” Eric Toner of the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security said to Bloomberg News. “It’s small and it’s distant so far, but it’s coming.”

In Florida alone, there were 8,553 new cases of the virus this week, which is more than any other one week period. This comes after the state lifted stay at home orders.

In Texas, hospitalizations grew by 6.3 percent to 2,056 on Tuesday, which is the largest increase since the virus first spread!

As for Arizona, new cases reached of 1,187 on June 2, which is the highest they have had in one day. Even in California, hospitalizations are at their highest since May  13 and have increased in nine of the past 10 days.

Governor Andrew Cuomo just recently implemented stage one of reopening in New York City, the epicenter.

“We know as a fact that reopening other states, we’re seeing significant problems,” Cuomo said on Tuesday. “Just because you reopen does not mean you will have a spike, but if you are not smart, you can have a spike.”
