Florida Rapper & His Father Arrested For Murder Of Local Aspiring Rapper

21-year-old Jacksonville, Florida rapper KSOO, real name Hakeem Robinson, and his 49-year-old father, Abdul Robinson, have been arrested for the murder of local aspiring rapper Lilbuck, real name Charles Quentin McCormick Jr., 23.

On January 15, Lilbuck was gunned down in a Jacksonville parking lot around 11 a.m. At the time of the shooting, two off-duty officers witnessed two men kill McCormick before chasing the suspects in their car. After the suspects crashed, they ran on foot and committed a home invasion a few blocks away by changing their clothes and holding the homeowner hostage. Shortly after, they were scooped up in a red or orange Dodge Charger or Challenger.

On September 10, the suspects, KSOO and his father were arrested; with the rapper facing a second-degree murder charge, and his father being hit as an accessory after the fact. While the motive behind the shooting currently remains unclear, reports suggest KSOO and Lilbuck had some kind of rivalry.

Other arrests in the case list Dominique Jerrod Barner, 26 — who was charged in March 19 with second-degree murder and aggravated feeling an officer — and 22-year-old Janera Jaranee Smith– who was charged as an accessory after the fact for her role as Barner’s getaway driver.
