Florida Police Chase Ends After Man Drives Car Into Pond With 2 Children Inside
Ahead of this past weekend, a Florida police chase ended with a man driving a stolen car into a pond, needing a rescue of 2 children inside. The incident occurred on Thursday (Nov. 19) in Pasco County when a Pasco County Sheriff’s Office deputy tried to pull over a vehicle for a window tint violation and ended up in a high-speed pursuit.
After zooming past residents and dogs walking in a nearby mobile home, the driver, identified as 30-year-old Jonathan Mark DeLoach, lost control and crashed into a pond, with 2 children and a woman inside the vehicle.

Officers and bystanders on the scene rushed to the woman and children’s safety, with DeLoach also being pulled from the driver’s seat. No injuries reported for any involved. The Sheriff’s office revealed that they discovered a bag of crystal meth floating near the car and once they identified DeLoach, confirmed he was a known drug dealer with several warrants out for his arrest. Subsequently, he’s facing several charges of child abuse, possession of methamphetamine, driving with a suspended license (habitual offender), fleeing to elude and reckless driving.
