Florida Pastor Who Was Arrested For Holding Service During Lockdown Dodges Charges

Controversial Florida Pastor Rodney Howard-Browne, who was arrested in late March for holding church service during the coronavirus lockdown, is skipping out on any charges he may have looked to face.

Hillsborough State Attorney Andrew Warren stated on Friday (May 15) that his office would not move forward with any charges against the pastor, claiming arresting Pastor Browne was enough to get through to him. Following his arrest, Browne proceeded to speak out about his experience, but he also began to follow protocol and practice social distancing.

Additionally, Warren stated, “Pastor Howard-Browne has maintained responsible social distancing on his church campus while engaging with community leaders in a dialogue about the best path forward for his congregation.” #Socialites, do you think it’s fair that he got off without charges or jail time?

Furthermore, churches in Florida are looking to reopen this weekend, however, they must practice specific social distancing protocol; which means they’re only permitted to seat twenty five percent of its congregation inside during each service.
