Florida Man Steals $1.4M From Enterprise Rent-A-Car & Splurges It On Designer & Vacations
David Michael Kramer, a 41-year-old Florida man, has admitted to stealing $1.4 million from his job at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and splurging the funds on designer items and vacations.
On Thursday (Oct. 1), the Broward County native pled guilty in a St. Louis, MO federal court to five counts of wire fraud. Kramer, who was a group risk manager for Enterprise Leasing Company from 2009 to June of this year, would oversee bills related to vehicle leasing, like towing and cleaning.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Lindsay McClure-Hartman says that during his scheming and scamming, Kramer requested 694 false checks, totaling $1,457,247, The funds were used on personal purchases like vacations, designer clothing and expensive watches and bracelets (Rolex, Hublot, Cartier). When U.S. District Judge Henry Autrey asked if these allegations were true, Kramer, embarrassed and remorseful, responded, “Unfortunately they are, your honor, yes.”
On January 12, Kramer is due to be sentence. He faces roughly three years in prison under federal sentencing guidelines, and will also be ordered to repay the money. He’s since forfeited his three Rolexes, a Hublot and two Cartier bracelets.
Prior to his upcoming sentencing, Enterprise sued Karmer in August, in an attempt to block him from accessing $@50,000 from a retirement fund.
