Florida Man Sets Crush On Fire Because She Was Dating His Stepfather
It wouldn’t be 2020 without another Florida man story.
In the latest bizarre incident, a Floridian allegedly set a woman he liked on fire after discovering that she was in a relationship with his stepfather.
The Sun-Sentinel reports Luis Angel Quinonez, 53, allegedly doused Angelica Acosta Blanco, 61, with gasoline and set her on fire in a jealous rage.

Apparently, Quinonez was furious upon learning of Blanco’s relationship with his stepfather because he was in love with her. Blanco had helped care for the suspect’s mother before she died.
Witnesses report that they saw Acosta Blanco running from the house on fire, and that Quinonez was using a hose to put the flames out on his house instead of Blanco.
Quinonez told officials that he would have killed his stepfather if had he been home at the time instead of Blanco.
Blanco was flown to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami with second- and third-degree burns and in serious condition.
Quinonez was subsequently charged with attempted first-degree murder and held without bail at the Palm Beach County Jail.
