Florida Man Found Naked In Chicken Coop Following Manhunt

A 25-year-old man from Florida has been arrested in New York after he was found naked in a chicken coop following a seven-hour manhunt.

Police state that he allegedly stole a car, killed a dog and numerous chickens — and chased a man with an ax.

A man made a call to the police after discovering John Mehne, 25, from Sarasota sitting naked in his chicken coop. Apparently, when the man asked him what he was doing, he responded with, “killing the chickens.” Mehne then reportedly chased the man with an ax and drove off after stealing an ATV.

He was later arrested after being found in a different chicken coop. Police state that he had also broken into one family home and killed their dog.

WBNG reports that Mehne faces charges of criminal possession of stolen property, burglary, robbery and aggravated cruelty to animals.

Mehne was arraigned on Wednesday and jailed without bail. Police say he has requested a lawyer in his case.
