Florida Man Creates And Plants Fake Bomb On Front Door To Avoid Eviction

A Vero Beach man created a fake bomb and place it in front of his home to prevent being evicted by his landlord.

The incident took place on Wednesday where the man wrote a note on his door that warned other residents to stay away from the property. It reads, “PLEASE!!! Donot aprouch (sic) this house. I wish only to talk to Ch.12 TV. Do not tough anything (sic). I know you are only doing your jobs. You have family! STAY BACK! Channel 12 only.”

Deputies from the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene to serve the eviction notice and found the bomb attached to the resident’s door. According to the New York Daily News, a bomb technician was called to investigate and concluded that the explosive was fake.

Authorities managed to get the unidentified male resident out of the home and took him into custody. He was later transported to a clinic for a mental health evaluation and his eviction was eventually swerved.
