#Socialites, get into this! Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is promising to lower gas prices to $2 per gallon if he’s elected president.
On Wednesday (September 20), GOP presidential candidate and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis revealed a new plan of his that aims to increase fuel production and deliver gasoline at $2 per gallon in 2025.
DeSantis, who is one of the leading presidential candidates for the Republican Party, said if he’s elected in 2024, he pledges to implement a series of energy reforms to “reverse the harmful policies of Joe Biden and his ‘Green New Deal.'”
While in Midland, Texas, DeSantis made his presidential promise in a speech, telling potential voters that if he’s elected in 2024, he will launch a new program to lower fuel prices.

In his statement, DeSantis said, “As your President, I will restore our Freedom to Fuel, starting on January 20, 2025. I will ensure that the United States of America is the dominant energy producer in the entire world. I will ensure that this country does not have to rely on hostile countries for its energy needs ever again.”
DeSantis added, “We will lift the Biden EV mandates and other standards. We will eliminate subsidies for EVs, and we will support Americans’ right to drive the cars they want. In short, we will save the traditional American automobile. We will repeal Biden’s clean power plan and his rules targeting gas stoves, furnaces, and gas appliances on day one.”

DeSantis continued, “In Florida, we made gas stoves tax-free. We’re not like California and New York, who are trying to eliminate it too. We want you to be able to use what you want, and we’ll ensure that applies nationwide. We will oppose all policies that increase America’s energy reliance on the Communist Party of China. We will not rely on unproven technologies that lead to blackouts or succumb to unfounded mandates that burden hardworking families.”
Elsewhere, DeSantis said, “As President, I will be laser-focused on reducing gas prices and energy costs. We will unleash American energy dominance as a way to stop inflation and achieve $2 gas in 2025. … We will reverse American decline by reversing Biden’s America last energy agenda, eliminating reliance on hostile nations for energy, and putting the economic interests of Americans before the radical left’s ideological agenda.”
