According to Yahoo! News, authorities identified the victims as Damion Tillman,23, Kevin Springfield,30, and Brandon Rollins,27 during a press conference Saturday morning. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd described the scene as a “massacre” and said, “I’ve been to a lot of murder scenes in my life, and this ranks among the worst.” Before their tragic deaths, Rollins called his father for help and his father drove to the fishing area on Lake Streety Road.
When he arrived, the man saw Rollins barely alive and his two friends were already deceased. Investigators reported that Rollin said a few words to his dad but they were not revealed during the press conference.

Judd added that Rollins’ father left his cellphone at home and couldn’t contact anyone for help so he had to drive to the nearest convenience store. By the time he arrived with help, Rollins already died from his injuries.
“These folks appear to be beaten and shot. … We are seeking leads. We need help, so we can solve this crime sooner rather than later,”
