Florida Doctor Charged With Hate Crime After Attacking Hispanic Man In Pro-Trump Rant

A Florida doctor, identified as 58-year-old Dr. Jennifer Susan Wright, has been charged with a hate crime (and more) after allegedly attacking a Hispanic man in a pro-Trump rant. The incident went down on the day of President Joe Biden’s inauguration.

While waiting in line at a Hialeah Publix supermarket, Dr. Wright, who is an anesthesiologist in South Florida, was apparently angered by a man asking her to follow COVID-19 regulations in Spanish. After Wright ignored his request, he repeated it in English, which caused her to “mumble bad words.” Later, the two met up in the parking lot, where Wright spewed racist insults.

It’s reported she started “to stab the victim’s vehicle with her keys while saying he needed to go back to his country.” It’s alleged she also punched and kicked the man. Continuing her rant, she allegedly yelled, “We should have gotten rid of you when we could. This is not going to be Biden’s America, this is my America. … We should have burned it all.” Following the incident, Wright was charged with criminal mischief, tampering with a victim, and battery with prejudice under the state’s hate crime law. Wright, who works at Miami’s Mount Sinai Medical Center, is now “no longer responsible for patient care pending the completion of a full investigation.”
