Florida Breaks Coronavirus Record For Single-Day Cases

Florida has broken the record for most single-day coronavirus records again after 4,049 people tested positive.

According to the New York Post, state health officials announced on Saturday that more than 4,000 people tested positive for COVID-19 within a single day. Additionally, this is the fourth time Florida has hit the record-breaking numbers in the last few days. Gov. Ron DeSantis said during a conference that the increased number of cases was based on more people getting tested and encourage Floridians to wear their facemasks in public spaces.

“This has to be voluntary because the Constitution is not suspended just because there is a virus,”

Several parts of Florida are currently in Phase 2 of reopening but officials warned that the state could be the next epicenter due to the lack of protocols in preventing further spread of the coronavirus.
