A 15-year-old Florida boy was caught on camera smiling after he was accused of killing two people during a drive by shooting.

Nico Brown was arrested in Orlando yesterday after authorities listed him as the suspect of first-degree murder in the deaths of Isaiyah Wright, 19, and little Ajahliyah Hashim, 6, the child’s mom was also injured in the shooting. According to the Post, the 6-year-old and her mother was sitting in the living room watching tv when gunshots rang out from a passing car outside of their home. Ajahliyah was taken to a local hospital but died of her injuries two days later.

Police announced that Ajahliyah nor her mom were the intended targets. “She was such a beautiful girl, so quiet,” a neighbor who called 911 said of Ajahliyah. The 19-year-old who was shot also died after being dropped off at Health Central Hospital’s emergency room in Ocoee, where he was pronounced dead by medics. It was not immediately clear how he was connected, police said. “I don’t know if he was a target,” Wright’s mother, Stacy Hall, said during a candlelight vigil held Friday night for her son. “I don’t know if he was set up. There’s a lot of things going through my head regarding my son.”

“That was my son, and his family is mourning,” Hall said. “His dad’s side is mourning, and nobody deserves to lose a child.” Ajahliyah was a student at Eagle’s Nest Elementary School, according to a statement from Superintendent Maria Vazquez.

“Our students should not have to live in a world where their lives are in danger in their own neighborhoods,” Vazquez wrote. “I cannot imagine the pain Ajahliyah’s family is going through. We can not accept that these tragedies have become all too common in our community.”

  1. What is the rate of survival for the intended victims of a violent attack? You and your family are home enjoying the evening, when you hear unknown, violent voices in your comfort zone. To protect your family, you run for a key to the gun box, then to the gun box, a dash for the ammo, and lastly placing ammo in the weapon. You hear gunfire, looking up, dropping weapon and ammo as you feel pain rip through your body. We heard about the tragedy on our local news station. A family of six(6) was found murdered. They did not have a chance to protect themselves. The community mourns the loss of this good family.
There has to be a way to give the victims of crime a better chance of survival.

  2. Great minds should get together and make a difference for the thousands dying at the hands of the criminal minds.
If I were an inventor, designer, engineer, or steel steelsmith, able to give proposals concerning the matter, I would propose a print-recognition primitive weapon/handgun. The intent would be loaded handguns that would only shoot by the hand of the registered owner. May sound crazy to some, but if we make suggestions, maybe we will live longer if modifications are implemented.
