Upon taking a paternity test, Flavor Flav has learned he’s the father of a three-year-old boy named Jordan, whom he shares with his former manager, Kate, it’s been revealed. According to TMZ, the paternity test was recently taken, confirming that the 63-year-old had in fact become a father-of-eight, the little boy’s maternal grandparents, Barry and Parchi, told the publication.
From what’s been gathered, while Kate worked as Flavor’s manager, she shared a romantic relationship with him — but interestingly enough, the pair appeared to have waited quite a while to find out whether Flav was the child’s dad because even though Kate was sure that the Don’t Believe The Hype rapper was Jordan’s father, he still had his doubts.

To put the matter to rest once and for all, a test was performed, and after Flav submitted his DNA, the results happened to “line up with Jordan’s.” It’s further revealed that custody arrangement and child support have already been worked out, with Flav having committed himself to be much more present in Jordan’s life and reportedly asked Kate to give the little boy his family name — Drayton. Legal documents have already been filed, with a hearing scheduled to take place later this year. Flav is already a dad to seven kids: Dazyna, Karma, Quanah, William, Shaniq, Kayla, and Karren.

Things are looking much better for Flav these days, following a scary accident that occurred back in December, which the Public Enemy star said had almost cost him his life after enduring a car collision, with a boulder falling and damaging his vehicle. He’d been driving from Las Vegas to Los Angeles when a large boulder came down a cliffside and struck his car near Tuna Canyon.
Flav was said to have lost control of his car for a few seconds and steered towards the wrong side of the road after the collision. His vehicle was heavily damaged but Flav managed to escape the accident without any injuries, though he claimed to have came “very close to death.” He told TMZ that he was “super grateful to be alive.”
Earlier that month, Flav had his domestic charges dropped two months after getting arrested with a misdemeanor battery constituting domestic violence. The police complaint alleged he had “poked his finger on the alleged victim’s nose, grabbed her, threw her down and grabbed a phone out her hand.”
Flav, whose real name is Williams Jonathan Drayton Jr., pled no contest to one count of coercion and was reportedly fined $640, though he was not given any jail time to serve for the incident. In a statement by Flav’s legal team, they revealed, “Today the domestic violence charge against Mr. William Dayton (Flavor Flav) was dismissed.
“Mr. Dayton acknowledged the nonviolent act of grabbing a phone during the incident in question, a misdemeanor, and the court closed the case. Mr. Dayton and his family are grateful to bring an amicable close to this matter and appreciate everyone’s support as he continues his one-year journey of sobriety.”
