In a video posted on Instagram, Flavor Flav urged his followers to step up for the cause. “It’s been inspiring to see so many people come together as one to lift each other up, and I just want to highlight one aspect of the larger LA community in dire need. Not enough is being done for the black families and community in the aftermath of the California fires,” he said. According to PEOPLE, he called on everyone, particularly Black artists, musicians, and creators, to contribute.
The GoFundMe campaign has currently raised nearly $40,000 and aims to help Black families who are dealing with displacement, loss of income, and the emotional impact of the fire. The funds will be used right away to meet immediate needs and support families as they work to rebuild their lives. Additionally, there is a consolidated list that highlights campaigns launched by families seeking support.
