First Lady Melania Trump Urges Americans to ‘Unify’ and ‘Protest in Peace’ Amid Rising Tensions in Minnesota

Donald Trump and his administration have been accused of putting out false details about the tragic federal shooting of protester Alex Pretti, fueling even more tension in Minnesota and around the world.

While things are clearly not easing up, understandably so, First Lady Melania Trump is sharing a message hoping to make frustrated Americans calmer…

“I’m calling for unity. I know my husband, the president, had a great call yesterday with the governor and the mayor, and they’re working together to make it peaceful and without riots. I’m against the violence, so please, if you protest, protest in peace. And we need to unify in this time,” she said Tuesday morning on Fox & Friends.

More On The Shootings In Minnesota:

As we previously reported, demonstrations have only intensified following the fatal shootings of Pretti on Saturday and Renee Nicole Good on January 7.

To make matters worse, Trump administration officials have said the shots were fired “defensively” against Pretti, with federal authorities claiming he had a semiautomatic handgun and was “violently” resisting officers. However, bystander videos painted a completely different story.

The majority who have watched the video saw Pretti defending a woman who came to him, only for the ICU nurse to be shoved down by several ICE officers and then executed in broad daylight.

Something that absolutely no one is ok with.

Donald Trump and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz said this week that they had a productive call. Hopefully that means putting an end to these sweeping ICE raids that are causing chaos in communities.
