FBI Charges 6 Militia Members In Domestic Terror Plot To Kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer Over COVID-19 Lockdown
The FBI have charged six militia members in a domestic terror plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer over the COVID-19 lockdown. Additionally, seven other people were charged with plotting to target law enforcement and “storm” the state capitol building with 200 men.
Under Michigan’s anti-terrorism law, state Attorney General Dana Nessel announced the additional charges against the seven men, who are all in custody and link to the militia group Wolverine Watchmen.
Furthermore, the militia group had been on the federal government’s radar since March, when its members allegedly plotted to target and kill police officers; information given to the FBI after they successfully converted a member into a confidential informant.
The FBI have since released the names of the six men arrested: Adam Fox, Ty Garbin, Kaleb Franks, Daniel Harris, Brandon Caserta, all of Michigan, and Barry Croft of Delaware.
