A Missouri man whose daughter tested positive for the coronavirus ignored warnings to self-quarantine and took his other daughter to a school dance. Now, her school is closed.
According to USA Today, the man and his daughter attended a father-daughter dance on Saturday. After news of his other daughter’s status broke out, the Oak Hill school said in a statement that classes are canceled for the remainder of the week.

“Our campus will be given a hospital-grade cleaning. School buildings will be sanitized and ready for students to return on March 23 after our spring break.”
The infected woman contacted health officials Thursday explaining her symptoms and she was instructed to self-quarantine with her family as told in a report by St.Louis County Executive Sam Page. He assumed the family would follow the proper protocols in regards to their health:
“The way the family has reacted to this situation is really a tale of two reactions. It is a study of how people should and should not react to the coronavirus,”

In the aftermath of the school closing, the man has been ordered to stay in his home and will be issued a formal quarantine. There were no details as to how many people attended the school dance on Saturday. Page also said the man and his family have not shown any symptoms of COVID-19.
