Father Arrested After Pointing Gun At Son’s Head For Taking The Last Can Of Soda

A Louisiana man was arrested after he held a loaded gun to his son’s head for drinking the last Dr. Pepper in their house.

According to the Daily Mail, Chad Kinnaird,39, was arrested on Wednesday after he held a gun to his nine-year-old son’s head after he drank the last can of Dr.Pepper soda at their home in West Monroe. An arrest affidavit from the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office stated Kinnaird entered his Monroe intoxicated with a loaded gun and became angry with the boy for drinking the soda.

His 11-year-old daughter said her father confessed to putting the gun to the boy’s head but she did not witness the incident. During the arrest, Kinnaird denied using the weapon to threaten his son.

Kinnaird was arrested and charged with child endangerment and violating a protection order. He is currently being held at the Ouachita County Jail without bond.
