Fans Speculate That Nicki Minaj Tried To Come For Beyonce In “Say So” Remix
The ladies in music have hit us with fire hits this week. From Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage,” to Doja Cat & Nicki Minaj’s “Say So” remix. We’ve been blessed with some quarantine tracks, but the internet can’t help but speculate where some of the inspiration came behind those bars!
Fans have been speculating that Nicki’s lyrics on “Say So” were a direct aim at someone in the industry. Initially, it was believed that Nicki was talking about Wendy Williams, who has openly spoke about Nicki and her husband on her show. However, Nicki shut that down real quick by taking to her Instagram story and writing, “the line ain’t about Wendy tho #saysoremix.”
Now, this led fans on social media to take it one step further and conclude that Nicki came for Beyonce!
As we reported, just two days ago Beyoncé remixed Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” rapping, “If you wanna see some real ass, baby, here’s your chance.” Now fans believe the “Say So” remix is Minaj’s potential response to Queen Bey. This could be very likely as these particular lyrics were added after Tidal and other streaming platforms had put out the original leak. However, it’s not clear if Bey was talking about Nicki, but this is what Nicki rapped in “Say So,”
“Why you talkin’ ’bout who body fake? / With all the fillers in your face, you just full of hate / That real a** ain’t keep your n***a home / Now you lookin’ silly, that’s word to silicon.”.
If you recall, Bey, Jay and Solange had an interesting encounter in an elevator and her album Lemonade said it all, in reference to Nicki’s line about keeping her man at home.
Despite the speculation, others just thought that it would be ludicrous for Nicki to shade Beyonce. There has been no prior beef and what would be the reason for Nicki to start one now. #Socialites let us know what you think in the Yappa comments below!
