Family Says Milwaukee Police Station Shooter Had Mental Breakdown
The family of the young man accused of shooting in a Milwaukee police headquarters says he had a mental breakdown.
Darreon Parker-Bell’s family told reporters on Monday he was distraught over the in-custody death of his best friend when he walked into the District 5 headquarters on Friday and opened fire. Milwaukee Police say it looks like Parker-Bell’s friend passed away from a drug overdose.

Parker-Bell is recouping from being shot by police after he opened fire. According to news outlets, he hasn’t been formally charged yet but he’s expected to be hit with a long list of charges once he’s released from the hospital.
His girlfriend Angel Harrell did not want to show her face on camera while speaking to reporters but she said she believes her boyfriend had a mental breakdown.

“He had a mental breakdown,” Harrell said.
“Did you talk to him Friday?” Mintz asked.
“Yeah, I did,” Harrell said.
“Did he say anything?” Mintz asked.
“He was normal. He very good at hiding his emotions,” Harrell said.
