Executor of O.J. Simpson’s Estate Says He Did Not Die with Millions

While speaking to the outlet, Simpson’s attorney Malcolm LaVergne disclosed that the late football star passed away with less than a five-figure sum in a single Nevada bank account and an overall net worth of less than millions. In his final days, Simpson relied on social security and pensions from his NFL career and acting gigs. However, LaVergne insists these payments amounted to less than the reported $400K annually. Despite these revelations, LaVergne quickly clarifies that Simpson wasn’t destitute. He acknowledges that Simpson lived comfortably in Nevada after his prison release, indicating that his estate may contain assets, like signed memorabilia, that could fetch a handsome sum.

LaVergne expressed willingness to communicate with Fred Goldman, Ron’s father, regarding estate matters. However, he was previously adamant about the Goldmans receiving nothing, but now he claims he will adhere to legal obligations. The Goldmans, along with the Brown family, won a wrongful death lawsuit against Simpson in 1997, resulting in a hefty $33.5 million judgment, which has increased over to $100 million with interest.
