On Thursday, a former intelligence director for Kanye West, filed a lawsuit against the rapper, claiming he was assigned to look into the Kardashian family over allegations of “sex trafficking.”

According to Variety, the ex-employee, referred to as John Doe in the suit, further claimed that he was responsible for hiring private detectives to follow Ye’s wife, Bianca Censori, during her trip to visit relatives in Australia. He also claims that West got very angry with him after he shared a report of child abuse at Donda Academy, West’s school, with the company’s leaders in May. According to the lawsuit, West shouted, “You’re f***ing dead to me!” and then played a recording featuring threatening voices aimed at the plaintiff.

The lawsuit claims retaliation and emotional distress, stating that the man’s mental health suffered as a result. He alleges that the situation worsened his PTSD from military service and led to panic attacks and anxiety. Additionally, he asserts that he is owed unpaid wages from his final pay periods at work.

The man claims he was brought on by West in December 2022 as a “deputy campaign director” and later promoted to director of intelligence. According to the complaint, by the summer of 2023, his responsibilities included coming up with strategies to keep Ye in the headlines.

“John Doe was also tasked by Ye with investigating the Kardashian family and supposed various criminal links Ye believed they had with criminal enterprises, including alleged sex trafficking,” the lawsuit states.

The lawsuit states that the plaintiff was also responsible for addressing a range of issues, including efforts to recover lost or stolen items.

“It was common for Ye to lose expensive cars or fail to pay people for services rendered at Ye’s direction,” the suit states.

In May, a significant portion of the leadership of West’s company was let go, according to the suit. The suit alleges that he was behaving erratically due to his decision to consume nitrous oxide and get “titanium teeth.”

Doe is represented by attorneys Neama Rahmani and Ronald Zambrano. The suit was filed in L.A. Superior Court.
