Ex-Con Felicity Huffman Lands Role In New Show Following College Admissions Scandal
‘Desperate Housewives’ Felicity Huffman is getting her life back on track after serving 11 days in prison for her role in the college admission’s scandal.
Deadline reports that the actress, 57, landed a role in a half-hour ABC comedy where she will play the owner of a minor league baseball team, a character inspired by Susan Savage of the San Francisco Giants’ the Sacramento River Cats.
Huffman became a part of the cast after Kapital Entertainment’s executive producer and CEO Aaron Kaplan approached her. Apparently, this isn’t her only new gig and she has been a popular choice for numerous TV shows and pilots since her stint behind bars.
As we reported, Huffman was arrested back in March 2019 for her role in the college admissions scandal and paying for her kids to get into better schools by meddling with SAT tests.
“I am ashamed of the pain I have caused my daughter, my family, my friends, my colleagues and the educational community,” she previously said in a statement. “I want to apologize to them and, especially, I want to apologize to the students who work hard every day to get into college, and to their parents who make tremendous sacrifices to support their children and do so honestly.”
