Evelyn Lozada and her daughter Shaniece Hairston are again denying rumors that they betrayed Evelyn’s former friend (or acquaintance/colleague as she suggests), Tiffney Cambridge after Shaniece’s pregnancy with Tiffney’s ex-fiancé and children’s father, rapper The Game.
The Game, born Jayceon Taylor, dated Tiffney Cambridge for eight years. The two share two children together and were preparing to walk down the aisle before calling things off and splitting due to infidelity. The couple even had a VH1 reality show documenting their demise. The show, ‘Marrying The Game,’ aired from 2012 to 2014.
Fast forward 10 years to June 2024: Shaniece Hairston, the daughter of VH1’s ‘Basketball Wives Los Angeles‘ star Evelyn Lozada, announced she was expecting her first child. She didn’t reveal who the father was, but the social media streets swore up and down it was rapper The Game. Now, this was deemed super interesting as his ex-fiancée and children’s mother, Tiffney Cambridge, who appeared to be a friend or “acquaintance” of Evelyn Lozada.
Evelyn Lozada Seemingly Addresses Rumors About Betraying The Game’s Ex Tiffney Cambridge Amid Daughter’s Shaniece Hairston Pregnancy With Rapper
Photos of all parties involved began circulating with the rumors. Some photos even showed Shaniece, Evelyn, Tiffney, and ‘Basketball Wives Los Angeles’ creator Shaunie Henderson, formerly O’Neal, all hanging out at Evelyn’s baby shower for her second child, Carl Leo Crawford, who she shares with ex-boyfriend, former MLB star Carl Crawford.
After the news of Shaniece’s pregnancy, she and Evelyn were called out on social media for “betraying” Tiffney. However, Evelyn called cap on the rumors in August 2024. In a video on social media, she said:
“I’m cracking up and thinking to myself. So, because I’m on the other side of it, right? And you guys follow these celebrities and people. And I know that people talk about us ’cause of the show, and who we date, and whatever’s happening in our lives… But, it’s always interesting for me—and I talked about this recently—for me to read the stuff about myself that [is] just false, you know? ‘Oh my god. This person was best friends with that person. How dare they?’
Guys, stop making this sh*t up. Okay? Everything that you read online, a lot of it is bullsh*t, you know? Like, I don’t mind. I live in my truth. I say what it is. But, some of this stuff is crazy to read. Take the stuff you read ith a grain of salt. Really think about you as a person, right? When you read things, and you’re passionate about it, and you really believe it, and you’re saying, ‘Okay, let me go to that person’s page and to really tell them about themselves.’
But, a lot of the stuff that you see is really bullsh*t. You know, if I was in a photo with somebody, 10-15 years ago, whatever it is, it doesn’t mean we were friends. It doesn’t mean we were best friends. It doesn’t mean that we dated. You could be in a photo with somebody, or share space with somebody, and it not be what people make it out to be. You know, and a lot of people believe this sh*t. So, it’s interesting to me. Anyways, life is good. We’re good. I’m happy. But yeah, just needed to share that because I’m always like, ‘What the hell?'”
Two months after Shaniece’s pregnancy news, The Game revealed he was expecting another child, but did not confirm the mother until after Shaniece gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Blaze Taylor.

Evelyn Lozada And Shaniece Hairston Deny Rumors Of Betraying The Game’s Ex Tiffney Cambridge
Nearly a year later, Shaniece and Evelyn are again addressing the rumors and putting them to bed. While opening up on their ‘Drop The Lo’ podcast, Evelyn asked Shaniece how does she respond to the rumors about betraying The Game’s ex Tiffney Cambridge. Evelyn said people turned the rumor into a whole story. Shaniece agreed, adding:
“Yeah, that’s really a story that grew hands and legs, and fingers. I don’t even know where it came from and who started that. But, I don’t respond to that because it’s absolutely ridiculous. It’s not true. You guys were not ‘best friends.’ A lot of people were at your baby shower. You guys were on the same network. And that was like over a decade ago. So, I don’t feel any type of way that you were in the presence of and why should I? It’s not like you guys were ‘best friends.’ It wasn’t ‘my friend.’ That’s a big one though, ’cause I get that all the time.”
Evelyn agreed with her daughter and added:
“It’s a huge, huge, huge misconception. And it’s a rumor. And to be honest—I know about you, and me too—I don’t live in a space of, ‘I’m gonna sit up here and do this and I’m gonna lie.’ If it was the truth, then I would be like, ‘It was the truth and some things happen.’ Cool. But, it grew legs, arms, feet, ears, all of that. It was such a viral thing. I still have comments where people are like, ‘How dare you? Your daughter had a baby with your best friend’s [ex].’ Granted, I think she’s an amazing woman and super cool, but we didn’t share space like that. We don’t have a relationship like that. But, I think it’s based off of photos from back in the day that came out.”
Evelyn continued to share another falsehood floating around. She said, “One of the other crazy rumors was that you knew your son’s father as a kid and you would be sitting on his lap as a kid. As if he was looking at you a were f***king, whatever, 15.” Shaniece added:
“Yeah, no. A sick mind also came up with that one too. We didn’t know each other when I was a kid. That never happened. By the way, do you know how many events I’ve been to where I’m in a photo with a group of people who are just acquaintances? Also, we’re around the same circle. You see the same people often. You go to the same parties. So, no. That’s a lie. I wasn’t sitting on his lap when I was 12, or add 20 years to that. I wasn’t sitting on his lap.”
