Eva Mireles Has Been Identified As The Teacher Who Was Killed In The Robb Elementary School Shooting

JUST IN: Eva Mireles has been named as the teacher who was killed in the Robb elementary school mass shooting that took place this afternoon. According to good morning America, She was a 4th Grade Teacher at Robb Elementary. 

As we previously reported, the shooter was identified by law enforcement and the governor as Salvador Ramos. Police have recovered an AR-15-style rifle and various magazines, multiple law enforcement sources announced to ABC News.

“When parents drop their kids off at school, they have every expectation to know that they’re going to be able to pick their child up when that school day ends. And there are families who are in mourning right now,” Gov. Mireles worked for the Uvalde school district for 17 years before she was shot and killed by 18-year-old suspect Salvador Ramos. 

“(G)etting different stories from different news stations… and Governor so still waiting for all facts,” Martinez Delgado shared on Facebook. “One thing that’s certain is that my beautiful niece did not survive this coward’s actions.”

Mireles, who was in her early 40s, was the mother of a daughter in college, according to her bio page on the school district’s website.

She loved running and hiking and joked on the page that others may see her riding a bike as well.

A second adult was believed to be killed in the shooting. That person has not been identified. The 18 children killed have also not been identified.

The alleged gunman was shot dead by police, officials said.
