Not giving up without a fight! Michael Sterling is determined to save his marriage to Eva Marcille even despite the reality star making the big move to file for divorce!
As it was previously reported, after spending more than four years as a married couple, the 38-year-old American Next Top Model star filed paperwork in Fulton County, Georgia, on March 23, to end their relationship. She called her marriage “irretrievably broken” with “no prospects for a reconciliation.”
She explained in a statement, “This has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, but sometimes life takes your journey in a direction you were not expecting,” Marcille told People magazine of her divorce. “Our children remain our biggest priority, and the eight-and-a-half years we have spent together will always be cherished. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”
Meanwhile, in an exclusive statement to The Jasmine Brand, Sterling makes it clear he’s not giving up on their marriage or his love for his wife.
“I am not going to lose my wife. I am going to fight for her with every fiber in my being. I love her and I plan to show her how much I love her and that our love is strong enough to get to the other side.
Eva has not yet reacted to her estranged husband’s public statement regarding their marriage.

The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star and supermodel wed Sterling in a lavish ceremony back in 2018. However, their love story began two years prior to their wedding. For Marcille, she says it was an instant attraction for him.
Marcille revealed during an old taping of the podcast Undressing Room, “My husband now used to be the senior adviser to the Mayor and was hosting. I just kept thinking, ‘Who is that yellow boy?!’ It was something about him. We looked back at a picture that night and he said I threw my leg out, I’ll show you the picture. I kinda did throw my leg out a little bit. I knew then that he was special,” she said back in 2021. Marcille said at the time that seeing Sterling blew her mind. “I had love at first sight with my husband.”
Just last year, Marcille gushed over Sterling, a trial lawyer, in a birthday tribute on Instagram.
“You’re the most amazing man, father, husband, friend, confidant, life partner, spades partner, forever partner,” Marcille wrote at the time. “May this be your best year yet. 2022 gave us beautiful, beautiful gifts, and I trust that 2023 will do the same.”

The news comes as a shock to fans as many thought they were still going strong. However, their supporters are hoping they could make things work.
The couple shares two sons together, Michael Todd Sterling Jr. and Maverick. She also shares a daughter with her ex, rapper Kevin McCall, named Marley Rae.
