Former Employee At T.I.’s Trap City Cafe Claims Storm Reid’s Father Walked Out On Bill & Manager Tried To Make Her Pay For It, So She Quit

A former employee at T.I.‘s Trap City Cafe is claiming that the father of actress Storm Reid walked out on a bill that she handed him; and because he escaped, her manager tried to make her pay for it. Ultimately, the incident made the employee quit.

While taking to her TikTok on Saturday (September 16), a woman named Chinyere Aniagoh shared her experience from the night before, where she was working her usual shift at the popular Atlanta restaurant and got snubbed on a bill.

Aniagoh said around midnight Storm Reid’s father Rodney Reid and a female associate came into the restaurant, which he reportedly frequently visits. Aniagoh, Reid’s alleged server, explained how he and his female companion dined at the bar, ordering food and drinks.

Aniagoh said Reid “ordered his drink, an Old Fashion,” and that when the woman’s food came out they began talking and everyone was getting along and having fun. Aniagoh said Reid ordered another round of drinks, “and tried to order drinks for other people,” but she said she had an inkling to keep them separate from Reid’s tab, and in the long run, her intuition led her right.

Aniagoh continued to explain how as the night went on, her manager, reportedly named Mike, “put a little discount” on Reid’s tab, as a form of gratitude for his patronage. Moments later, she said that Reid signaled her as if he was getting ready to leave, and that’s when she printed out his bill and rushed it over to him. She said when he picked it up, “he looked at the tab, sat it down, looked at her, and walked straight towards the door.”

Aniagoh said when she saw him walk out the door, she ran to her manager, “already knowing where she works” and how things operate. She said she told her manager, “Hey, Storm Reid’s father is walking out the door.” She said her manager rushed to the door and caught him, came back to her, and said, “Oh, he’s coming right back. He’s just walking that lady to the car. Don’t worry, Chi.”

Aniagoh said about five minutes later, her manager told her that Reid left and that they had to wait for the higher-up manager to arrive at the restaurant. When they arrived, Aniagoh said she was already fed up and ready to leave as her manager then told her that she had to pay for the unpaid bill, calling it her “responsibility, because he walked out on [her].”

Aniagoh said she told her manager that she relayed to them about Reid walking out on the bill, and that he let him leave. So she offered to call the police and report the theft because she wasn’t paying for the bill.

In a second video posted to her TikTok, Aniagoh updated that after the Friday night (September 15) incident she “absolutely quit” her job. She said she just “got to the point where she wasn’t going to take the B.S. anymore.” She said, “I was so over them at this point that that was literally the straw that broke the came’s back. I won’t be going back there.”

Aniagoh continued to explain, “The police never had to be called, because when I threatened to call the police, they in fact did void the whole check out, as they should. And that was that.” She also explained how at Trap City Cafe, employees were not required to take cards to open a tab, but if a tab went over $100, she personally would ask for a card to ensure no one skipped out on her.

She added, “Because, I know where I worked and I know the type of manager that I was dealing with. And he is a raging narcissist, who doesn’t see anyone else’s perspective and will literally go off at the drop of a dime. So, everyone is constantly on edge. So in order to cover your own behind, it’s best to just make sure you get a card if it’s over a certain amount. But, normally, I don’t have that problem.”

Since quitting T.I.’s Trap City Cafe, Aniagoh said she has no interest in continuing a career as a server/bartender, and noted that she has no issue with T.I., but offered that he should hire better people to run his business.
