Eminem Fans Defend The Rapper’s Lyrics About Manchester Bombing In New Album

Folks woke up this Friday to an unexpected release of Eminem’s 11th studio album titled, “Music to Be Murdered By.” While fans are trying to enjoy the new project, others have already found something not to like about it.

Some people were particularly offended by his track “Unaccommodating,” where he compares himself to Salman Ramadan Abedi, the man responsible for the Manchester Arena bombing that occurred after Ariana Grande’s concert back in May of 2017. Eminem raps, “But I’m contemplating yelling ‘bombs away’ on the game / Like I’m outside of an Ariana Grande concert waiting,”

As you can imagine, folks let the 47-year-old rapper have it for for mentioning the horrific incident that resulted in the deaths of 22 people in Manchester, England. However, there were actually a lot of people who defended him, with some pointing out that he helped the victims’ families almost immediately following the bombing attack. One user said,

“Ariana herself defended [Pete Davidson] when he made jokes about manchester and also joked about jonbenet with her friend? she knows exactly who eminem is. relax.” Another said, “For people mad at referencing the Ariana Grande concert bombing: these are merely lyrics. He raised $2 million for the victims, which is way more than you did. You were also probably laughing at WWIII jokes about bombing Iran..at least be consistent with what offends you.”
