Among the 16 new songs is a track titled “Zeus,” in which the rapper offers an apology to singer Rihanna over decade-old lyrics about Chris Brown that leaked last year. On the song, Eminem said that he “sided” with Brown after he pleaded guilty to felony assault involving Rihanna in 2009: “Of course I side with Chris Brown,” the old lyrics read. “I’d beat a b*tch down too.” Clearly, he felt bad because In his new song he raps: “But, me, long as I re-promise, to be honest / And wholeheartedly, apologies, Rihanna. For that song that leaked, I’m sorry, Ri / It wasn’t meant to cause you grief. Regardless, it was wrong of me.”
As it was previously reported, Brown, 30, served nearly five years of probation after physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna in his car the night before the Grammy Awards in February 2009. However, the former couple rekindled their romance in 2012 before calling it quits once more in 2013. Sources close to the stars say they still remain as friends.
