Elon Musk has responded to claims he shared an affair with Google founder Sergey Brin’s wife Nicole Shanahan, insisting that the allegations made by the Wall Street Journal on Sunday aren’t true because he hasn’t “even had sex for ages.”
In the explosive report from the WSJ, the publication asserted that Nicole and Elon shared a fling in December 2021, and though she had already separated from Sergey at the time, the affair is what ultimately led the tech CEO to file for divorce the following month.
Elon has since reacted to the accusation, saying there was no truth to the story and that he’s apparently still good friends with Sergey, who has yet to comment on the matter. “This is total bs,” the Tesla CEO tweeted. “Sergey and I are friends and were at a party together last night! I’ve only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around. Nothing romantic. Haven’t even had sex in ages (sigh).”
What’s more, Nicole and Sergey are certainly still moving ahead with their divorce plans, with the New York Post claiming that the 33-year-old, who tied the knot with her now-estranged husband in 2018, is allegedly hoping to receive a whopping $1 billion from the divorce, which shouldn’t be a problem for the search engine mogul, who is worth $90 billion.
Of course, the question now remains on whether Sergey will actually oblige and give Nicole that sum seeing that sources say he decided to file for divorce after learning about his partner’s alleged affair with Elon. Perhaps the messy situation will make him not want to play fair when as the ex-couple are working with divorce mediators to split their assets since marrying four years ago.
Per the NY Post, “They’ve been unable to strike a deal, with Brin’s side saying Shanahan wants much more than a prenuptial agreement calls for and Shananan’s side saying she signed the pact under duress while pregnant.”
Elon was most recently linked to singer Grimes, whom he shares two children with. The couple split last year, before announcing they had welcomed their daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, in March, followed by the news they were splitting up once again.
“Me and E have broken up *again* since the writing of this article haha, but he’s my best friend and the love of my life, and my life and art are forever dedicated to The Mission now,” Grimes wrote in an official statement on social media.
Then, in June, it was revealed that Elon had secretly fathered twins before the birth of his second child with Grimes. The 51-year-old is said to have shared a romantic relationship with an executive of his company, Shivon Zilis, who gave birth to their two babies in late 2021.
