Wow! Tesla founder and X CEO Elon Musk claims that if Vice President Kamala Harris wins the presidency she will “sic the DOJ” on X and have it shut down.
During a lengthy sit-down on ‘The Joe Rogan Experience‘ podcast, Elon Musk appeared to be totally convinced that if Kamala Harris wins the presidential election over Donald Trump she will “sic the DOJ (Department of Justice)” on X and shut down the social media platform.
Musk made his prediction while revealing that he is still navigating the “advertiser boycotts” brought on by the “left-wing NGOs” with “Orwellian names” ever since he purchased the social networking platform in 2022, while it was still named Twitter.
He said, “Some of the boycott is starting to lift and I think if [Donald] Trump wins, I think we’ll probably see most of the boycott lift.” Elon Musk added, “But if Kamala [Harris] wins, we will see that boycott get stronger. And they will freaking shut down [X]. There’s no way that the Kamala puppet regime would allow X to exist.” Podcast host Joe Rogan later asked, “Do you really think that they’ll be able to shut it down? Is there a pathway to that?” Musk said “yes” to both questions.
When asked what a potential Harris administration could do, Musk said, “Well, they can sic the DOJ on [X]. You know, they’ve had this whole thing about hate speech, misinformation, or whatever, except that they’re the ones pushing the misinformation. But, that doesn’t stop them from filing massive lawsuits and using the DOJ. The DOJ has been attacking Space X, for example, for not hiring asylum seekers, even though it is legal for Space X to hire anyone who is not a permanent resident of the U.S. So, we’re damned if we do, damned if we don’t. That’s just an example of what the DOJ can do.”
Later in the conversation, Rogan asked, “Are we just like the U.K. where we have thousands of people getting arrested and jailed for social media posts? Where are we? We have complete silencing of any dissent, anything. You have to stick to the narrative or you’ll lose your livelihood. You’ll be an outcast from the community. You’ll lose your freedom. It’s crazy.”
Agreeing, Elon Musk added, “Well, if the Kamala [Harris] puppet regime wins, they’re definitely going to want to cancel you, that’s for sure. Joe Rogan agreed, “Oh, for sure. Yeah, it’s going to be a problem. But, what about you? They’re going to come for you first.”
Musk continued, “I think I’m probably number two on the list, after Trump.” Rogan added, “Yeah, I think so. Well, that’s the last thing they want is someone with unlimited resources and intelligence attacking it. So, people will go, ‘Wait a minute, that guy’s saying that?’ Especially, a guy like you who’s always been on the left.”
